Annabel Cucuz

Annabel Cucuz is a sculptor based in Manchester, best known for her curved ceramic forms. The artist predominantly takes influence from 20th-century design, referencing nostalgic interior styles from 70s and 80s pop culture and films. Collecting visual inspiration from vintage interior design books, her sculptures echo the shapes and scenes she discovers through her research.

“My sculptural forms were created from this visual research and subsequently filled sketchbooks, playing on the idea of being able to disguise themselves into any interior whilst being able to hold onto a feeling of nostalgia. They exist in the visual in-between.”
