Keraclay

Virginia Felix otherwise known as keraclay is a ceramic artist based in New York. She examines the contrast between functionality and form, building minimal sculptures, lighting and tableware by hand from recycled clay. Her sculptural vessels often reference the natural world and human body, playing with negative space and simplistic silhouettes.

The sculptures included in the ceramicist’s Figura Project explore the organic structures and formations of the Earth, predominantly taking influence from selected caves, parks and canyons in the US.
